Project Overview

The scope covered complete engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of DEMAG electric overhead travelling cranes — double-girder 50-ton units with cabin control and variable-speed hoisting, and a 2-ton single-girder unit. Installation was executed during the facility construction phase in a congested multi-contractor environment, in coordination with main contractor Al Suhoob Company.

Detailed sequencing plans kept crane runway installation aligned with structural completion, and every procedure was reviewed and approved by KOC engineering. All cranes were load-tested and certified to ASME B30.2 and KOC requirements, and the workshop was commissioned on schedule with zero safety incidents during installation.
