Project Overview
Baker Hughes engaged Al Eid Engineering to deliver a comprehensive lifting and utilities package across its Ahmadi facility — one of the company's primary service and maintenance hubs in Kuwait.
Work spanned multiple areas of the facility: DEMAG cranes for the DS Workshop, a 3-ton laboratory crane, a Verlinde 1-ton bunker hoist with new runway beams, and the CWI building — where our scope ran from excavation and precast foundations through structural steel erection to a complete 5-ton crane installation. BOGE compressed air systems were supplied alongside the lifting equipment to power the facility's pneumatic circuits.
Each area was engineered for its duty cycle, with custom crane configurations optimising hook coverage within existing structures. Installations were coordinated with Baker Hughes' live operations, every crane was load-tested and commissioned, and operator training closed out the handover. The relationship continues through ongoing maintenance support and equipment supply for facility expansions.
